Remarks :
The Falmouth Work Boat is an extremely spacious Gaffer with excellent accomodation for her size and she is very comfortable below decks. The hull was built in 1983 but she was not commissioned until 1996. The hull has been epoxied both internally and externally. Constance is a long keel steel sailing Gaffer designed by Percy Dalton who was born in Plymouth. Percy articled as a shipwright apprentice at Devonport Dockyard, then went to sea, followed by the second world war and eventually he settled in Falmouth where he designed working boats and painted. Constance is 31' 06" including her bowsprit which is easily lifted to reduce marina fees. She is very comfortable in a seaway and is an ideal boat for budget blue water cruising. She is steel hulled and steel deck and superstructure with transom hung rudder and long keel with lead ballast. Viewing recommended.
