Remarks :
Rowdy is a classic 1916 "Herreshoff New York 40" racing sloop. 40’ at the water line, 59’ on deck and 65’ overall. She sails like a dream. The Herreshoff design makes her exceptionally fast with a perfectly balanced helm, and very stable in rough waters. Her museum quality rebuild boasts a rich interior (6’ + headroom) accented with raised panel Honduran mahogany bulkheads, teak cabin sole, buttoned burgundy cushions, bevelled glass liquor cabinet, antique bronze fixtures and hardware. She has an expansive flush deck (teak with mahogany toe rails and hatches), complemented with the original deck winches and other pieces of very rare antique bronze hardware. Maritime surveyors refer to Rowdy as an "American Maritime treasure". She is also a McNish Classic champion and winner of the Bristol Boat award. Her end tie slip (one of the finest in Southern California - and just a 10 mile sail to the offshore Santa Barbara Channel Islands) is available
