Below the waterline the vessel is of a modern, canoe configuration with a minimum of wetted area to enable this vessel to gain her top speed in light air conditions. Fitted with a cast iron high aspect ratio fin keel and is tiller steered via high aspect ratio, semi-balanced rudder fitted well aft of the waterline to allow this vessel to be able to drive down wind under full control whilst under large headsails.
