Broker Remarks

“Sprinter” has recently been upgraded, including new sails, new electronic instruments and wiring and a new engine. She successfully completed the 2008 Jester Challenge (single handed race to the Azores). “Sprinter” needs some fibre-glass work around the mast base and the shroud attachment points on the deck, which is now reflected in the reduced asking price. The owner is selling as he has purchased a bigger boat to undertake more extended cruising.

Accommodation

Double v-berth forward. Heads: Jabsco marine toilet and retractable washbasin. Saloon: Removable table; two berths and quarter berth. Galley: Gimballed Plastimo Atlantic 2-burner hob, with oven and grill. Cockpit: Large cockpit locker port side; small locker to starboard; large lazarette. The saloon includes good storage to both port and starboard.

Mechanical and Rigging

GRP construction. White hull, with red stripe. Grey non-slip paint on deck. Fin keel and skeg hung rudder. Designer: Chris Butler Builder: Butler Yachts. Sole Mini-17 (16hp at 3,600 rpm) – new in January 2008 (120 hours). Sole use Mitsubishi engines. New prop shaft, two-bladed prop and Sureseal stern gland – 2007. 2 x 110 Ah batteries (domestic and start), with individual switches and an emergency parallel switch. Battery charging via VCR (charges engine start battery first, then the domestic battery). Sloop masthead rig. Jeckells main sail, with 3 reef points – 2007. Jeckells roller genoa – 2007. Spinnaker, with snuffer (good condition). Harken genoa furler. Selden mast, with single spreaders. Z-Spars boom – 2007. Spinnaker pole (telescopic) - Kemp. Stainless steel rigging – 2001.
