Construction:
Accommodation:
In the forepeak is a conventional double berth with standing headroom. There is hanging storage to port, storage bins below the cushion and shelves at the foot and head of the berth. The headroom in the saloon is 1.9m reducing to 1.86m. Benches to port and starboard will easily accomodate someone of 1.9m. The table will comfortably seat 4 diners - 6 with a slight squeeze. The aft facing chart table is to starboard with a shallow chart drawer. All wood panelling is teak.
The heads to port at the base of the companionway steps has plenty of space with a manual sea toilet, washbasin and shower.
The galley is to port aft of the chart table and extends under the cockpit. This makes for extended working surfaces. The single bowl stainless steel sink has hot and cold water. There is an Eno 2-ring burner with oven and grill. There is a sensible sized fridge; crockery and cutlery is included.
Navigational Aids:
Steering compass is by Plastimo. Instruments by Raymarine: ST60 depth, wind and log. Autopilot is an ST4000 The GPS chartplotter is by Interphase. Simrad RD68 DSC VHF radio and CD player.
Engines and Tankage:
Engine is a Volvo Penta MD 2020 19 hp diesel with shaft drive to a fixed 2-blade propellor. Approximate hours - 270. Morse controls in the cockpit
Fuel tank - plastic 70 ltr with electric guage
Water tank - plastic 170 ltr with visual guage
Batteries 1 x 95 Amphr engine and 2 x 95 Amphr service
Sails and Spars:
Spars are by Sparcraft. Sails by Technique Voile. The main is 80% battens with slab reefing, lazy jacks and a stack pack. The genoa furls on a Facnor roller reefing system. The rig has swept back spreaders with a split back stay.
Equipment:
Primary winches are Harken 32 self-tailers. 2 secondary winches are Harken 16 mounted on the coachroof.
Equipment includes: Horse-shoe life buoy; bathing ladder, leather wheel cover, radar reflector, binnacle cover, binnacle table, 12 kg CQR anchor with chain and warp; manual and electric bilge pumps, warps and fenders, navigation lights; sprayhood and dodgers, inlaid teak seat covers in the cockpit, midship cleats; shore power, emergency tiller; fire extinguisher; rope cutter.
Remarks:
According to Yachting Monthly "Jeanneau's Sun Odyssey 32 is a lively well mannered yacht which looks good on the water and has performance to match. It's a well thought out design that will make a superb offshore cruiser."
The current owners have cruised the West Country, Scilly Isles, France and the Channel Islands. She has been well maintained and wintered ashore each year. All the paperwork is in order and the boat could be sailed away. A full portfolio of pictures is available on request.
