1 x Beta Marine 2-cylinder 13.5hp diesel engine driving a fixed 3-blade bronze propeller.  Option of larger engine. Single lever remote control.  Moulded GRP sound insulated hinged cover.

Road trailer. Mahogany rubbing strake and tiller.  Mahogany and marine ply transom hung rudder.  Stainless steel deck fittings.  Automatic bilge pump.
Remarks:
The Cove 16 is built by The Salcombe Launch Company.  She has a displacement hull and a high freeboard, making her deep and spacious inside and, consequently, dry and stable.  The traditional transom hung large rudder with tiller steering makes the boat easy to manoeuvre in any conditions.  The GRP lay-up is heavy duty (hull thickness 10mm minimum).  A rugged but elegant river launch.
