Designed by Munslar & Jackson, built by Roamer Marine,Sandwich in 1978. Steel hull and deck in 5mm steel with centre ballast and twin bilge keels, shot blasted, primed and epoxied at build and again in 2001. Superstructure in GRP. Completely rebuilt internally in 1999. | Accommodation:
Forward cabin with 2 full length berths. Heads compartment with electric sea water toilet with holding tank (never used)power shower with H & C. Saloon with double and single berth and another double berth in the wheelhouse. Galley with gas cooker, grill and oven (2007) stainless steel sink with large drainer, H & C, large fridge/freezer driven from engine compressor. Steps up to wheelhouse with dinette seating to starboard and helm position to port. Door to cockpit. Eberspacher hot air heating rebuilt 2007. | Navigational Aids:
Furuno combined colour radar and fish finder with gyro stabilised DGPS plotter with cordless remote control. Autohelm and Furuno electronic compasses plus small hand held. Hummingbird 3D depth.Jupiter GPS(stand by), plus portable GPS plotter. Nera Insarmat satellite system enabling telephone converstaion world wide, emails etc, new 2006. ST 6000 Autopilot with GPS feed, 2 speed logs, tri-data display, wind speed/direction, Weatherman receiver. Portable hand held VHF. Main VHF. Remote controlled searchlight. | Engines and Tankage:
Ford Mermaid 4 cylinder 72hp diesel completely rebuilt by Mermaid Marine in 2002 and fully serviced since then. Borg Warner gearbox also rebuilt in 2002 driving a feathering Brunton propeller with Aquadrive coupling, the prop shaft is fitted with a brake to stop the prop rotating when under sail. Batteries charged by 110 amp hour alternator through an Adverc management system and Link 2000 invertor plus a mast mounted wind generator. All batteries new in 2007, 125amp/hr starting battery and 630 amp/hr service batteries. Wired for 240v shore supply. 2 x 100 gallons fuel tanks and 2 x 140 gallons fresh water tanks plus 40 gallon calorifier with immersion heater. | Sails and Spars:
Alloy mast and mizzen with stainless steel standing rigging renewed 1999 and all running rigging renewed 2006. Furling genoa, inmast main and in mast mizzen. The sails are vertically battened by Maxi Roach and are in tan colour. | Equipment:

This Roamer has been very well looked after by her present owners and has been equipped to the highest order. She has been used as a long distance summer cruising home in Brittany and has all the conveniences of operating as a waterbourne office whilst with the family and indeed that is exactly what the current owners have used her for. She would also be most suitable for extended cruising for just husband and wife. With her extensive water capacity she need only touch port on a weekly basis. She must be viewed to be fully appreciated.
