Engines and Tankage:
New Mercury 5hp saildrive outboard. 2 x 12v Samson leisure batteries each 110amp/hr, both 2006. Charging by solar panel and Rutland wind generator model 503.
Sails and Spars:
Wooden mast with juk rigged sail. Most running and standing rigging replaced. Jackstays.
Equipment:
navigation lights, manual bilge pump, full offshore flare pack, Plough anchor with 100' chain, 2 fishermans anchors with 40' chain, 6 fenders, various warps, boat hook, pushpit, pulpit, 2 fire extinguishers, lifebuoy with light, 2 lifejackets.
Remarks:
The owners intention was to enter her in the 2006 Jester Challenge but for personal reasons was unable to start. She has been much upgraded in preparation for this event. Easily handled all control lines are led to the cockpit and apart from mooring or anchoring there is no reason to go on deck. She can be easily reefed in bad weather by one person and is an ideal single handed sailing boat. More pictures will follow.
