Accommodation:
Her shoal draft and bilge keels make shallow and drying creeks and harbours accessible to you.

In the accommodation the accent is on providing comfort rather than on as many berths as possible. There is good standing headroom in the main cabin -there are two berths here and two in the forward cabin. The heads compartment is separate with doors that shut off the forward and main cabins. It is fitted with a sea toilet and sliding washbasin, a shower can also be arranged in this space. Opposite the WC compartment is a large hanging locker. The galley is to port, just inside the companionway and has a two-burner gas cooker and a double sink. The oilskin locker is opposite with the chart table above it.

Throughout the boat there are as many lockers as possible, these provide a great deal of stowage space.

Remarks:
Pintail makes no apology for being old-fashioned. The design has been proven over 35 years and the design concept reaches back through her predecessors: Heron and Shelduck. The modifications that are incorporated in Pintail n are relatively minor: the mast step has been raised to give headroom in the heads compartment; a gas locker has been worked into the aft deck; a fixed chart table is included. The cockpit structure is now largely GRP so that some of the annual maintenance is reduced.

The amount of wood seen on Pintail n makes her a rarity amongst the boats currently produced. It is undoubtedly one of the main elements contributing to her unique character. The woodwork is executed with considerable craftsmanship and attention to detail and helps to make her a proper yacht.If not already aware of them, you will come to appreciate the virtues of a heavy displacement boat. Pintail's powerful, seakindly hull with a long keel gives her great stability and a predictable, dependable performance.
