A 'proper' sailing yacht owned by an experienced and knowledgable skipper. A sister ship has crossed the Atlantic and is proceeding on her voyage of discovery.

Sailing Today No 39 said; "Over the past 12 months we've tested a varied crop of interesting and innovative craft. Choosing a winner is not an easy task - all the boats have carefully thought out features and serve their intended purpose well. A few however we felt were outstanding.
In our opinion this boat really stands out from the crowd. It's a well mannered, fast cruiser with an innovative and ergonomic interior that promises stylish and comfortable living." Winner of Best New Yacht tested by Sailing Today 2000.

PBO summed up in their Windy test, " So does Hunter's successor to their long running Horizon, Crusader and Channel ranges represent an advance in the evolution of the genuine all rounder? WITHOUT A DOUBT, Sometimes I come back from boat tests thinking that design really hasn't advanced very far in the past 30 years. And then I sail something like the Channel 31. Unashamedly sleeker and sportier than her 32' sister she should appeal to those who might otherwise be torn between something light, fast and french and one of the stodgier alternatives."

Yachting Monthly said, "The New styling adds an element of gloss to a boat that possesses all of Hunters traditional selling points, namely high standard of build, ease of handling, sailing performance and good manners."
"She'll make a tough and capable coastal or offshore cruiser, easy to handle for a couple or small family and with a pedigree that she will be fun to sail when it blows."
