Construction:
GRP hull and decks. Centre cockpit and aft cabin. Wheel steering from doghouse. Engine under the cockpit
Hull and keels have been blasted, checked for moister content and re-epoxied. |
Accommodation:
7 Berths in three cabins. 6’3” headroom in saloon. V-berth with inlay in focsle. Heads to port, wet locker to starboard.
Galley to port: Hot and cold pressurized water. Electric fridge. Gas cooker, grill and oven. Quarter berth aft of the galley with the chart table above. Large dinette to starboard, which converts into a double berth.
V-berth in aft cabin.
Plenty of storage throughout the accommodation. |

Engines and Tankage:
BMC 1800 D 4 cylinder 38hp diesel engine. Single handle morse control from cockpit.
Shaft driven propeller, protected behind the long skeg, fitted with a rope cutter.
Powerful electric bow thruster.
Diesel tank: 80 Gal. Water tank: 75 Gal.
Four 110 AH Batteries. One new, 2 replaced last year and one replaced three years ago.
All batteries can be switched to start the engine. |
Sails and Spars:
Ketch rigged. Standing rigging main mast replaced three years ago. Standing rigging mizzen mast checked and found to be in good order.
Genoa on Rotastay furling reefing system. Sail is serviceable.
Main sail on in-boom reefing system. Fairly new and hardly been used.
Mizzen sail serviceable.
All spars are Isomat anodized.
2 sheet winches in cockpit and two winces on the mast.

Remarks:
This Macwester is a very roomy and comfortable boat. As you can see it is very well equipped and ready for cruising. The present owner really looked after his boat over the passed 15 years. Well worth viewing! |
